Tribute

First 1971 and 1972 USA releases were on green colored transparent vinyl.
Countries like the UK released the single in 1972 on black vinyl. Around 1976 a non transparent green vinyl UK version was released. The single has been re-issued several times.
Not many Cover Versions could be found for McCartney's "Wonderfull Christmas time", nor for Harrison's Xmas composition "Ding Dong". For this moment, Cover Versions for none of these two are physically in my collection.
With "Happy Xmas (war is over)" John Lennon intended to give the world an alternative for 'White Christmas' by Bing Crosby.
Lennon's Xmas composition was, and still is, widely covered by known and unknown artists. My collection is far from complete, but it gives an impression.
